We strive to provide a consistent, stable rhythm to each and every day. Each day follows a familiar structure, and within this, a creative openness to the natural flow of the group. This predictability fosters a sense of stability and security for children because they know what comes next.  This frees them of uncertainty and helps form a sense of confidence, encouraging exploration and participation.

 

Throughout the day we have a balance of structured activities and creative free-play time. Children are offered the opportunity to engage in various activities such as baking, painting, cleaning, washing, drawing, gardening, hiking and building.

Indoor activities are purposeful and engage the whole child. Everything done in the classroom has a purpose and meaning, from saying our blessing before each meal to composting our food scraps and cleaning our dishes, thereby instilling a sense of joy and mindfulness in every task. During our daily hike children have ample opportunity to release energy through movement and play.
